Writer. Editor. Communications & PR Pro.

Quite possibly the only native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who isn’t a Steelers fan (please hold your jeers), Erin Walsh is an award-winning writer, editor and communications professional based in Astoria, New York. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in politics, philosophy and English writing from the University of Pittsburgh, and received her master’s degree in journalism from New York University.

A communications professional by day, she is also the author of Queens Eats, a culinary blog chronicling her myriad food adventures around the city and the globe. Previously, her writing has appeared in such publications as the New York Daily News, Newsday, Hartford Courant, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and Footwear News, and Queens, NY-based TimesLedger Newspapers.

In 2009, she received an award from the Press Club of Long Island chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for “Savory Success,” her cover story on culinary industry luminaries for Adelphi University Magazine.

Besides writing and creating, Erin’s passions include painting, crafting, traveling, whipping up gourmet treats in her Astoria pad, photography, and tinkering away at her fiction, which currently includes a novel-in-progress and several short stories.
